Why crews switch to P99

Faster grounds in every device box.

Pass-through hole

One ground exits the tip and becomes the pigtail. No jumper, and one less conductor in the splice.

UL 467 listed

Listed for grounding and bonding, with the listing printed on the package for inspectors.

Green means ground

The next electrician who opens the box spots the ground splice at a glance.

Swept-back wings

Drive it tight by hand, tool-free, through a full day of rough-in.

How the hole works

Splice and pigtail in three steps.

  1. Feed the long ground through the holeUsually the incoming ground. Leave it uncut so it reaches the device or the box screw.
  2. Seat the other grounds and twistClockwise by the wings until the conductors start twisting below the skirt.
  3. Tug-test and land the pigtailOn the device ground screw, or the box's green screw in a metal box (NEC 250.148).
